On Juggling Roles & Responsibilities: I make time for everything especially for my husband and children. I never claim that I can do everything by myself. Time management and trusting other people is key.

Chef Jackie’s Favorite Books: I am a nerd and reading cookbooks make me happy. Right now, beside my bed are: Alba Cookbook, Tea Time from Singapore, Dimsum by Jane Wong, Del Monte Kitchenomics Cookbook, So Good Magazine, Laduree Savory and Angelo Comsti’s “From Our Table to Yours”
Chef Jackie’s Inside-and-out Beauty Secrets : Inside, I always choose to be happy. Nobody’s life is perfect. There are many things you will encounter each day—some good, and some not so good. I try to improve my overall health by drinking Sencha tea instead of just water.
As a Maharlika: I am very proud of my work, especially as a member of the Pastry Alliance. It’s fulfilling to create masterpieces at competitions, and to share my knowledge with other chefs. Being able to help someone and find out later on their life or career improved makes me very happy! ~Chef Jackie
