Grand Opening Today – Gourmet Asia and Fine Dining

The inaugural launch of Gourmet Asia is a premium trading platform for exceptional gastronomic delicacies, powered by HOFEX – Asia’s Leading Food and Hospitality Tradeshow officially launched today at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). From May 9 to 11, Gourmet Asia will bring a range of premium food, drinks, dessert meals and equipment. The highlights today are: Latte Art Smackdown Hong Kong Station, Gourmet Tasting Restaurant and GODIVA: Chocolate Dipping Demonstration.

GODIVA: Chocolate Dipping Demonstration by GODIVA Sous Chef Chocolate, Pac. Rim – Mr. Wong Yim Yin, GODIVA Sous Chef Chocolatier who joined GODIVA Chocolatier, the renowned chocolate company that is used imperially by the Belgian Royal family, will present a Chocolate Dipping Demonstration with his sophisticated chocolate-making skills at Gourmet Asia.

Event Area A Hall 1B – First exciting Latte Art SmackDown (LAS) in Hong Kong brought to you by Gourmet Asia! It is a free style latte art contest, not a barista competition. Judges will only judge by the appearance of the coffee (contrast, balance, idea and pattern) and basic skills of coffee making, it is a test on candidates basic and advanced latte art skills.

Gourmet Tasting Restaurant Hall IA – With Hong Kong Tourism Board as prime supporter; the event is delighted to showcase a specialty lunch menu where star-rated chefs and talents will use exhibitor’s ingredients to cook and serve onsite VIP guests, bringing you an extraordinary gourmet tasting experience!
